ORLEANS – Orleans Chamber of Commerce Director Robert Henderson says there is still time to invest in Orlean’s hometown by renewing or becoming a 2022 Chamber member.
Chamber officials are excited about the year ahead and are planning a number of exciting programs and membership activities.
“This marks our 76th year helping to strengthen and promote our Hometown of Orleans. Remember this is YOUR Chamber and our strength still remains with our 90 plus Members,” Henderson said.
One of those events includes the 2022 Dogwood Festival scheduled for April 23-30.
“This year will mark the 52nd annual celebration of the blooming of the Dogwood,” said Henderson. “The Dogwood Committee will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Hall to continue its planning efforts. Hoping everyone will join in making this year’s homecoming event another great success.”

The Chamber board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 17th at 8 a.m. at Town Hall. This will also serve as the Chamber’s Annual Meeting which will include the election of officers and seating of directors for 2022.
The Chamber is also looking for business members willing to host a Business After Hours event in 2022. Business After Hours is a great networking event. The host each month gets great exposure for their business by opening their doors and welcoming people to see their business, having the public meet their staff and promote their business. Becoming a host is easy, just let the Chamber know that you would like to have this opportunity and what month you are interested in hosting. If you are interested in hosting a Business After Hours, please contact the Chamber Office at 812-865-9930 or email historicorleans@netsurfusa.net.
