BARTHOLOMEW CO. — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Milestone Contractors LP plans to close Tannehill Rd. (C.R. 650 N.) on or after Friday, April 1, to begin work on a $2 million superstructure replacement project over I-65 in Bartholomew County.
Prior to the closure, nightly lane closures will take place in both directions of I-65 at the overpass (near MM 75) to set barrier wall, closing the inside and outside shoulders. This work is planned overnight on Wednesday, March 30, and Thursday, March 31, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Once the overpass is closed, rolling slow-downs will occur between 9 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m. on Sundays during the first two weekends in April (April 2-3, April 9-10) for overhead demolition work.
Tannehill Rd. is expected to reopen by the end of October 2022. Traffic will be detoured to C.R. 280 W., C.R. 700 W./Heflon Park Rd., and U.S. 31 during construction.
INDOT reminds drivers to use extra caution, avoid distractions, and consider worker safety when traveling through active construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
