COLUMBUS — Due to weather, the Louisville and Indiana Railroad has rescheduled lane restrictions on S.R. 46/3rd St. to the evening of Thursday, March 24, to make crossing repairs near Lindsey St. in Columbus. Restrictions were originally planned for tonight (Tuesday).
The railroad will close two lanes at a time, with one remaining open to traffic at all times while work is in progress. Restrictions are scheduled to begin at approximately 8 p.m. and last two to three hours. Repairs will be rescheduled if needed due to inclement weather.
Drivers are reminded to use extra caution, avoid distractions, and consider worker safety when traveling through active work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
