Ralph Lloyd Melvin, 67, of Bedford, passed away on March 18, 2022, at his residence in Bedford.
Born October 23, 1954, he was the son of Lloyd E. and Lucille (DeArmond) Melvin. He married Charlotte Gregory on June 6, 1996, and she preceded him in death on October 28. 2021. Ralph worked for Sims Painting, was a veteran of the United States Army, and served 14 years with the Army National Guard.
Surviving Ralph is one sister, Cora Elkins; two brothers, Randy (Patty) Melvin and Ronnie (Vicki) Melvin; half-brother, Steve Meador; two half-sisters, Sherry Lewis and Kathy Dalquist; five stepchildren, Shawn Vincz, Camelot Wright, Godson Wright, Nina Suchanek, and Viking Wright; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two brothers, Archie and Lloyd; and a sister, Delia.
Funeral Services for Ralph Lloyd Melvin will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2022, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes. Burial will follow in Holy Ground Cemetery at Padanaram. Visitation will be at Ferguson-Lee Chapel from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday.
