BLOOMINGTON – Indiana State Police Superintendent Douglas G. Carter announced the promotion of Region III Dispatcher Shelby Brown in February to the position of Regional Dispatch Center Shift Supervisor and she was recognized this afternoon at a ceremony in Indianapolis.
She was chosen after a promotion process that included an oral interview and review of overall her work performance.
Shelby is a native of Bloomington and graduated from Bloomington North High School in 2013. After graduation, she attended Hair Arts Academy for Cosmetology. She then began a career as a Quality Inspector For Cook Polymer Technology until August of 2018 when she became a Regional Dispatcher with the Indiana State Police.
In her new position, in addition to dispatching duties, Shelby will supervise a group of dispatchers in the Bloomington Regional Dispatch Center. She will monitor day-to-day operations and will handle administrative duties.
Shelby currently resides in Linton.
