BLOOMINGTON – The Monroe County School Corporation and the Foundation of Monroe County Community Schools will host their fifth annual Girls in Engineering, Math, and Science (GEMS) conference on Saturday, April 9, 2022.
The conference is for female-identifying students in 5th and 6th grades in Monroe County. They will have the opportunity to work with female role models and enjoy the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM)!
Girls will be divided into small groups to work with female experts in STEM education and industry. Groups will participate in five hands-on activities in the fields of engineering design, chemistry, biology, forensic science, technology, and math.

The event will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022, from 8:45 a.m. until Noon. Registration will begin at 8:15 a.m. at Bloomington High School North.
