BEDFORD – North Lawrence Community Schools will host its annual Kindergarten Welcome this week, offering families of incoming kindergarteners to meet with teachers and discover what their children will be learning at each of the five elementary schools in the corporation.
This welcome event will allow families to meet the principal, teachers, and staff of the school they wish their child to attend. There will also be tours of the buildings and classrooms, activities for students, and the opportunity to register your student for Kindergarten on-site.
The full list of dates, times, and locations for each school as as follows:
- Oolitic: Thursday, March 31 from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
- Lincoln Elementary: Thursday, March 31 from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
- Needmore Elementary: Thursday, March 31 from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
- Parkview Elementary: Tuesday, March 29 and Thursday, March 31 from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
- Shawswick Elementary: Tuesday, March 29 and Thursday, March 31 from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Parents are reminded to be sure to bring each of the following to enroll their studnets:
- Birth Certificate
- Proof of address
- Custodial/Guardianship agreements (if applicable)
To be eligible for the 2022-2023 academic year, students are to be five years old on or before August 1, 2022. Early applications for students whose parents feel are ready to be enrolled, and whose birthday falls on or before October 1, 2022, will also be available on the NLCS website.
