ORLEANS – If a photo is worth a thousand words, imagine the story a photo of Orleans could tell – Celebrate the town by showing folks how you see it.
The last day for entries will be Friday, April 15th. Photos may be dropped off at The Orleans Public Library. Photos must be picked up within the following week at the Orleans Public Library.
Photos will be on display the week of the Dogwood festival during regular library business hours.
There will be no designated categories entered. All talent levels are welcome and will be judged together.
The subjects of your photos can be of your choice – But please be sure to include at least ONE Orleans-related photo with your entries.
Out-of-town judges will rate the photos based on the theme and other attributes, not just skill.
There will be first, second, and third place given, and then a People’s Choice Award will be voted upon by a quarter a vote of the public.
This contest is for Orleans and surrounding townships residents only.
There will be a $1 entry fee for EACH photo that you submit.
No more than 5 photographs per person may be submitted.
Officials will assume with any photo of a person that you as the photographer have been given permission by the subject to submit your photo. Please be responsible.
All photos must be no smaller than a 5×7 and must be framed or matted. Entries should include the name and telephone number of the photographer, which can be done with a sticky note on the back of the frame or mat.
People should not submit a photo unless they are the photographer.
All questions should be submitted to contest chair Katlin Phillips. She can be contacted via text or call at 812-653-8877; or by e-mail at kcpcreative@hotmail.com.
