BEDFORD – John Eckberg recently joined Hoosier Hills Credit Union as External Communications Coordinator. Prior to his employment at HHCU he spent the past eleven years as the Media Relations Director at Cook Group in Bloomington. Eckberg excels at raising awareness on important issues within communities and bringing people together to support philanthropic efforts and initiatives. He is a firm believer that, “kind and intentional service to others can change the world.”
Eckberg holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Ohio University. His vision for Hoosier Hills Credit Union in the upcoming years is to help tell the remarkable story of HHCU so current and prospective members will have a deeper appreciation for how the Credit Union has provided financial stability, created opportunity, and ensured prosperity for Hoosiers of all ages.

Eckberg resides in Bloomington, Indiana with his wife, Carol, and Havanese dog, who goes by the impressive name of RosieShakiraJuju. He is the author of several books spanning a wide range of genres – memoir, true crime, and business insights. He even occupies some bookshelf real estate in the Library of Congress. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, origami, and collecting Arbogast fishing lures that are part of The Great Wall of Akron.
