Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market a beloved tradition

BLOOMINGTON – The Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market remains one of the area’s most beloved traditions. Every Saturday from April through November, local vendors sell a variety of foods and goods that are grown and/or made in Indiana.

You can shop for fresh fruits and vegetables, local dairy products like milk, yogurt, cheese, and eggs, as well as fresh and/or frozen meats including beef, pork, poultry, and lamb. You can also find locally made salsa, jam, jelly, honey, maple syrup, relish, and vinegar.

Austin and Adrian Larsen are the owners of Farm Over Yonder. Although their farm is new, they are not new to pasture-raised animals. Back in 2017 in their hometown of Lebanon, Tennessee, they were raising and processing their own organic fed, pasture-raised broiler chickens and pigs. They love it – it has become a huge passion of theirs.

They stand by the philosophy that their animals only have one bad day on the farm. They provide them with great feed, plenty of pasture, and happy life.

Since moving to Indiana, they knew that this was the place where they could make their dream of owning their own pasture-raised poultry business a reality. They are working hard to do just that. Their farm is going to be where you can find high-quality, Non-GMO, Organic Fed, pasture-raised chickens, and eggs. They hope that our customers choose them to be their provider for just that!

If you have a green thumb, be sure to explore the plant vendors — they offer a variety of non-invasive plants, flowers, and herbs, as well as non-food products like beeswax and bar soaps.

Saturday’s performers for the Farmers’ Market Circular Stage are Tony Hopkins and Anna Wrasse.
