Eva June Raney, 82, of Shoals, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in Jasper.
She was born July 27, 1939, in Martin County to Walter and Ethel (Hutton) Stewart. She married Bevious “Jack” V. Raney Jr. on December 29, 1955, in Shoals and he preceded her in death on May 6, 2011. She attended Shoals Schools, was a member of Mount Union Church of Christ, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed camping, motorcycle riding with her husband, and cooking.
Survivors include four daughters, Victoria (Eric) Blessinger of St. Anthony, Connie (Joe) Buechler of Holland, Angel McCarthy of Shoals, and Cheryl (Jeff) Lake of Shoals; 11 grandchildren, Julia Earl, Conrad Blessinger, Raven Blessinger, Corey Wolf, Carmen Looney, Heather Witt, Josh Lake, Valerie Mullins, Kristie Skees, Amanda McCarthy, and Daniel Buechler; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda (Oscar) Strahley of Florida and Janet (Keith) Parsons of Loogootee; and two brothers, David (Sandra) Stewart of French Lick and Ronnie Stewart of Shoals.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandson, Jeffrey Earl; great-grandson, Blayze Crowder; one sister, Barbara Hall of Paoli; and two brothers, Robert Stewart and Gary Stewart.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2022, at the Queen-Lee Chapel in Shoals. Burial will be in the Mount Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
