William Alan Martin, 56, of Bedford, passed away at 10:10 a.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at IU Health
Hospice House.
Born September 13, 1965, in Bedford, he was the son of William Edward Martin and Amanda Jane (Russell)
Hopkins. He retired from Granite Inliner as a field mechanic. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Bedford and enjoyed riding side-by-sides with friends. He loved spending time with his family and friends and especially watching the activities of his grandkids.
Survivors include a daughter, Andrea Chaillaux, and husband, Zechariah, of Bedford; grandchildren, Azailea and Felix Chaillaux; three brothers, Larry Martin, of Spencer, Gary Martin, of Mitchell, and Richard Martin, of Kentucky; his step-father, Cleet Hopkins, of Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 15th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 14th, and from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
