BEDFORD – The Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services held their annual Ladies Tea and Silent Auction Fundraiser on Saturday, bringing in $5,600 to go towards helping families dealing with cancer in Lawrence County.
The event sold 170 tickets at $15 each, for ladies of the community to come out and mingle with one another, while also participating in the silent auction and listening to cancer survivor …. on her battle and struggles.
“This event helps to bring additional funding for LCCPS while allowing the ladies of the community to come out and talk with each other for a couple of hours and learn more about how this program keeps the funding local,” said LCCPS Member Janet Huber. “We have done this event since 2011 and each year brings in more and more community members and support for our program. It is truly incredible”
The highest bid from Saturday’s silent auction was a pair of Cincinnati Reds tickets which sold for $130.
