Albert E. Eckert, 89, of Bedford passed away at 4:25 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Westview Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation in Bedford.
He was born on July 17, 1932, in New Carlisle to Kenneth “Shorty” Eckert and Bessie B. (Bennett) Eckert. Albert married Merilyn Jo Hold on January 24, 1953, and she survives. He was a retired Industrial Machinist and Mechanic and was a US Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Merilyn Eckert of Bedford, six children, Addam Eckert of Springville, Lana Eckert of Granger, Tami Eckert of Bedford, Brian Eckert of New Carlisle, Joshua Eckert of Hudson Creek, and Heidi Frantom of Hannibal, Missouri, three grandchildren, Matthew Eckert, Jeremy Eckert, and Celia Eckert
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sons, Scott Eckert and Craig Eckert, one grandson, Seth Eckert
Cremation was chosen with no services, Cresthaven Funeral Home is entrusted with his care.
