BLOOMINGTON – Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington is hosting 60 first-graders from Grandview Elementary School at its Biology Outdoor Learning Lab to celebrate the one-year anniversary since breaking ground on May 1, 2021.
Elementary students, parents, and teachers will spend 2.5 hours in the outdoor lab, learning about seeds and plants. They will make a model of a seed, take notes like a scientist, and plant a seed to take home, along with planting flowers in the college’s Outdoor Learning Lab.
A local funding partner will make a gift announcement and the college will review what was completed in the past year during a ceremony on Tuesday, May 10th at 10 a.m. at the Indiana Center for the Life Sciences, Biology Outdoor Learning Lab on the Ivy Tech campus at 501 N. Profile Parkway in Bloomington.
