Richard L. Ellison, 83, of Bedford, passed away at 8:52 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at I.U. Health Bedford Hospital.
Born September 16, 1938, in Bedford, he was the son of William Robert and Edith (Snow) Ellison. He married
Barbara Keller on November 30, 1956, and she survives. He retired as a crane operator/signalman at GM Indianapolis Stamping. He attended the Englewood Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara, of Bedford; two sons, Mark Ellison, and his wife, Carol, and Bob Ellison and his wife,
Darla, all of Bedford; seven grandchildren, Brett Howard and wife, Martha, Jeremy Howard and wife, Melissa, Traci Dufore and husband, John, Cara Conder, and husband, David, Cole Ellison and wife, Sandi, Lisha Ellison, and Laura
Ellison; several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Fred Ellison.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 23rd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastors Stephen Carter and David Ferry officiating. Burial will follow in Dixon Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 22nd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
