BEDFORD – Amanda Parker, who began her career as a part-time teller, has been promoted to vice president, accounting transformation leader at Hoosier Hills Credit Union.
She is a graduate of Oakland City University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in accounting and business management and a minor in marketing. A Brownstown native, Parker rose through the ranks at the Credit Union and has had numerous roles during her career.
She was promoted from part-time teller to accounting for accounts payable accountant, senior accountant, accounting manager, and finally vice president of accounting transformation.
“Hard work and support from my leaders and co-workers helped me achieve my goals,” Parker said.
She is the mother of two sons, Kolton, 18, and Kasen, 14, and all are kept busy with a two-year-
old Great Dane named Mabel. While at home she enjoys spending time with her family, football, bonfires, kayaking, home projects, and going on vacation. She is also a co-ed softball coach in Heltonville.
“Amanda has been with HHCU for over 15 years and is a perfect example of how hard work and dedication pave the way for future success,” said Senior Vice President Cole Watson, CPA, and Controller. “She lives our mission every day, and I can’t think of a more deserving individual to help shape the next generation of leaders at HHCU.”
What has always appealed to her about HHCU is its family atmosphere and how HHCU associates are able to grow and advance in their careers.
“It’s enabled me and so many others to grow as a person, an employee, and a mom,” she said. “I worked from the bottom up (at HHCU), so understanding the front side and backside of operations has helped me tremendously,” she
said. “I’m always hoping to grow in knowledge and skill set.”
