BEDFORD – Lawrence County Commissioners heard a request from Justin and Tiffany Hobson to change the seven lots they own in Woodview Estates to acreage.
“We would like to change the lots into acreage,” asked Tiffany. “We have a signed petition from the other residents in support of this.”
The Hobsons own lots 11-16 in the division. The land, which is a large sinkhole, can not be used to build houses.
According to County Attorney David Smith, the request will now have to be presented during a public hearing allowing residents to speak for or against the proposal.
The public hearing will take place before the next commissioners’ meeting on June 7th at 9:30 a.m.
