Sonia Ilene Evans, 61, of Bedford, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Dunn Hospital.
Born January 1, 1961, she was the daughter of William and Betty (Jones) Dalton. She married Allen Ray Evans and he survives.
Sonia had worked for Help at Home as a Home Health Aide and enjoyed playing bingo, camping, diamond painting, gardening, and flowers, as well as spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving to cherish Sonia’s memory are her husband, Allen Ray Evans; her children, Crystal (Jason) Dalton, Jason (Heather) Evans, Jeremy Evans, and Brittaney (Billy Mullins) Evans; Her brother, Michael (Lisa) Dalton; her six grandchildren, Wyatt, Savanna, Zoey, Brayden, BriAnna, and Braxton; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Sonia was preceded in death by her brothers, Virgil Dalton, William Browning, James Douglas Dalton, and David Wayne Swartz: her son, Justin Evans: and her granddaughter, Hillary Evans.
Funeral services for Sonia Ilene Evans will be Thursday, June 2, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the Ferguson- Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford. Burial will follow at Dive Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at Ferguson-Lee Chapel.
