BEDFORD – City Officials, Bedford Chamber of Commerce, and community members from different businesses stopped by Pub 15 Tuesday for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, and to enjoy the new restaurant on the downtown square.
After facing difficulties with COVID-19, supply chain issues, and every fastball that can be thrown at a new business, the doors have finally been opened to the public. Following an extensive renovation of the lower-level dining area and kitchen, updating the logo, and bringing it all together, Pub 15 is ready to make its mark on the City of Bedford.
Darin and Michelle Cardwell of Bedford purchased the building that was previously the home to the Bedford Perk that closed its doors on October 15th, 2021. The couple previously owned a bed and breakfast in Bloomington that they sold before moving to Bedford.
“This has been an overwhelming experience for me. I am grateful for the community and everyone who has helped us along the way, including the City of Bedford who helped us every step of the way, and especially our employees who have been patient with us as we have worked on getting to this point,” said Michelle.
Michelle knows that there will be some learning curves and growing pains with the restaurant, but is looking forward to working with the community to provide the best service and meals possible.
“We are working hard to get it right, and I hope that everyone can stick with us through the growing pains as we get there together. We appreciate all of the feedback in making sure that we succeed with this. We are truly excited to be here.”
The menu will include favorite comfort foods as well as healthy options with an emphasis on using real ingredients. In addition to dining in, Pub 15 will offer carry out and call ahead ordering. Be sure to check out their Facebook page for updates to the menu and more information.
