Barbara Jean Mundy, 66, of Bedford, passed away at her home on Thursday, June 23, 2022.
Born on December 20, 1955, in Bedford, she was the daughter of William and Phyllis (Harris) Eagan. She was a graduate of Oolitic High School in 1973 and spent her working life at General Electric in Bloomington where she made many lifelong friends.
Barbara had enjoyed several years of a happy retirement where she could pursue the things she most cared about; taking care of her family, being with friends, gardening, and of most importance to her, spending time with the light of her life, her granddaughter, Allyson.
Surviving is her son, Zachariah Mundy; beloved granddaughter, Allyson K. Mundy; sisters, Betty Geabes, Kathryn Oakley, and Karen Inman; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Michael Dean Mundy, and her son, Justin Mundy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 30th in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial following in Chambersville Cemetery in Spencer. Visitation will be held at Day & Carter Mortuary on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 8 p.m.
