INDIANA – As of July 1st, the state of Indiana will have a state fossil – the Mastodon.
Indiana was one of only five states without a state fossil.
Indiana has:
- A state snack – popcorn
- A state bird – cardinal
- A state insect – firefly
- A state flower – peony
