Derek Shayne Schlabach, 34, of Williams, passed away at his home on Friday, July 8, 2022. Born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky he was the son of Gary and Dorothy (Miller) Schlabach. He and his family are of the Amish faith.
Surviving to remember Derek are his parents, Gary and Dorothy; his brothers and sister, Darwin Lyndell (Lovina) Schlabach, Creta LaDawn (Steven) Lambright, Sheldon Jay (Laura Ann) Schlabach, and Marcus Dean (Rebecca) Schlabach; his nieces and nephews, Juliann Faith Lambright, Kaitlyn Rose Schlabach, Olivia Grace Schlabach, Jeremy Lyndell Lambright, Jolisa Mae Lambright, Lavon Anthony Schlabach, Kaylea Grace Schlabach, Jana Beth Lambright, and Alyssa Janae Schlabach; and his grandmother, Viola Miller.
Derek was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willard and Esther Schlabach and Melvin Miller.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 9:30 a.m. at the Schlabach home on Port Williams Road with Bishop Eli Shetler officiating. Burial will follow at the Williams Amish Cemetery. Visitation will be both Sunday and Monday from 2:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the Schlabach home. Pallbearers will be Philip Schlabach, Matthew Schlabach, Thomas Miller, Gerald Schlabach, Wendall Miller and Duane Mast.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford.
