Betty L. (Spaulding) Bartlett, 91, of Bedford, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022.
Born February 26, 1931, in Owensburg, she was the daughter of William A. and Ruth (Lamb) Spaulding. She was a graduate of Needmore High School with the class of 1949. She married Elbert “Bart” Bartlett and he preceded her in death. She had been a secretary at Keach & Grove Agency and an elementary school Aide at Stalker School.
She was a member of the Needmore Alumni Association, and a 50-year member of the First Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir. She was a passionate artist and member of the Lawrence County Art Association.
Survivors include three children, Brad Bartlett and Jeff Bartlett, and wives, Ana, and Angie Gates, all of Bedford; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Bartlett; grandchildren, Mac Bartlett, Quinn Bartlett, Jackson Bartlett, Camron Faubion, Kitch Gates, Keenan Gates, Kristen Turner, Kevin Bartlett, and Travis Collins; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Mitchell, and husband, Ric, of Bedford; a brother, Joe Spaulding, and wife, Linda, of Bedford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Kim Bartlett; a brother, Eugene Spaulding, and a sister-in-law, Margaret Spaulding.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Lee Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
