BEDFORD – As the rain cleared early Saturday morning, the 2022 Limestone 5K Run went off with a bang as 120 runners ran and walked in support of the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County.
The event raised over $5,800 which will go towards benefitting the children who come through the doors and participate in other activities in the building. The event could not have been done, however, without the willingness of the volunteers and sponsors.
“We really couldn’t have done this without the support of our sponsors, the support of Jim Sowders and his race crew for accurate times, and our board of directors and staff for volunteering and helping make the event run smooth. This event is always a positive one being able to receive these funds during the summer,” said Boys & Girls Club Chief Professional Officer Frank Decker.
Race sponsors included:
- The Eye Center of Southern Indiana
- Crane Credit Union
- Dr. Jim Sowders & Dr. Andrea M. Rope Practice of Optometry
- Bedford Federal Savings Bank
- Cox & Kimball Insurance Services
- Anytime Fitness
- Curtis Orthodontics
