GREENE CO. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces an emergency road closure on State Road 54.
Beginning immediately, State Road 54 will be closed just east of Ridgeport. This closure is to repair a pipe. A concrete pipe has begun to fail and a void has been discovered under a portion of the road. Work on the pipe is expected to last through the week, depending on the weather.
The official detour for this project is US 231 to Interstate 69 to State Road 45. Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure.
