BLOOMINGTON – The Bloomington Parks & Recreation Department is looking for Saturday Weed Wranglers.
Volunteers are needed on the first Saturday of every month at various locations in Bloomington. Volunteers are needed to join the department’s vegetation management staff to help clear invasive species from local parks and green spaces affecting Bloomington’s local ecosystems, how to properly remove and dispose of them and put their knowledge into action. Come be a part of an important environmental effort.
On Saturday, August 6th Weed Wrangles event from 9:00 a.m. until noon, volunteers will be removing woody invasives and Japanese stiltgrass at Lower Cascades Park.
Volunteers must be 12 years old and up. (Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.) Volunteers under the age of 18 must have an Underage Waiver of Liability signed by a parent or guardian. Click here to complete a digital waiver.
