LAWRENCE COUNTY – Community members are invited to join Dementia Friendly Lawrence County in a three-part education course Family Conversations about Driving and Dementia starting Thursday, August 4th.
These classes will explore how brain change can affect someone’s driving ability, how to access local and personal resources as the need to drive increases, and how to prepare for tough conversations around the subject of driving with dementia.
These three sessions will take place over three days at 1500 Clinic Drive from 11:30 a.m. 1:30 p.m. each day with lunch provided to those in attendance.
The session dates include:
- August 4th – The brain and driving warning signs
- August 11th – Making transportation plans
- August 18th – Family conversations and planning
