INDIANA – Helping those who have served our country is a priority for IHCDA, and they were glad to learn of a new grant that will help bring housing stability to veterans and their families.
Indiana Legal Services (ILS) was awarded a grant from the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs that will expand services to Veterans.
This grant, effective July 1, 2022, covers the Veteran Housing Stability Project (VHSP.)
The VHSP will assist not only veterans who are facing imminent homelessness but will also address and remove legal barriers, if possible, to housing stability.
Barriers to housing stability include not only landlord/tenant issues but can also include legal issues that can resolve financial instability.
