BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington North pulled out a tough third set to complete a sweep of Bedford North Lawrence during high school volleyball action on Saturday morning.
The Cougars clawed their way to a 25-13, 25-12, 25-22 victory over the Stars (0-3).
“The girls were slow off the bus,” BNL coach Whitney Carroll said. “We didn’t show up ready to fight. This is a great volleyball team, our mental game has to get tougher. We worked hard in that last game and put up a fight and I was proud of them for that. Now my job is to get that team to show up for every point.”
Hayley Davis had 4 digs and 3 kills, Harley Tanksley totaled 6 digs on the back line, and Aly Mckeaigg added 4 kills for BNL.
The Stars will host Edgewood on Monday.
