GALENA – Floyd Central conquered Bedford North Lawrence 10-0 during the girls soccer Hoosier Hills Conference opener on Tuesday. The Stars fell to 0-3 overall.
“The final score doesn’t accurately reflect how the girls played,” BNL coach Bret Roberts said. “We are starting to learn each position on the field and understand the game better. The girls fought hard and never gave up, and I’m really proud of them for that.
“Everyone kept their head up tonight, despite the score and challenging opponent. Maya Fahr, our goalie tonight, had some beautiful saves. We played a new defensive formation and it seemed to work better.”
BNL will visit New Albany on Saturday.
