Gail Marie Batchelor, 71, of Mitchell, passed away Friday, August 26, 2022, at Indiana University Methodist Hospital.
Born January 7, 1951, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Barbara (Pace) Collins. Gail married James Kenneth Batchelor on February 13, 1998, and he survives.
Gail worked at General Electric and retired after 30 years. She loved going on motorcycle rides, going camping, and checking out all of the Goodwill stores. Gail also loved being a snowbird; spending the winters in Florida and walking the beaches looking for seashells. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving is her husband, James Kenneth Batchelor of Mitchell; children, Shannon (DeAnna) Batchelor of Mitchell and Tawnia Batchelor of Mitchell; grandchildren, Amanda (Brian Fullen) Terrell, Stephanie (Alan Yarberry) Terrell, Steven Terrell, Taylor (Tyler) Johnson, and Tyler (Brittany) Batchelor; great-grandchildren, Braxton Canfield, Alana Baker, McKaylyn Dotts, Aiden Dale, Emma Batchelor, Corbin Batchelor, and Dalton Cole; and siblings, Steve Gibson, Susan Deckard, Brenda Lamar, and Teresa Baker.
Her mother; son, Kevin Terrell; great-grandson, Tyler Baker; siblings, Greg Collins and Rita Collins Bell; and grandmother, Avis Pace preceded her in death.
Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Mitchell Cemetery with Reverend Reggie Clark officiating. Burial will follow.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, until the time of service at the cemetery.
