Paul Bransford Aldridge, 87, of Mitchell, went to be with the Lord Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Westview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Born February 1, 1935, in Hazard, Kentucky, he was the son of Bill and Lillian (Hickman) Aldridge. He married Betty Alice Wilder on October 21, 1978, and she preceded him in death on February 17, 2020.
Paul was self-employed as a contractor. He was a member of the Mitchell Masonic Lodge No. 228 F.&A.M. and The Bride of Christ Fellowship. Paul sang with The Singing Revelations for thirty-one years. He loved his bible and gospel music, and he was the best storyteller.
Surviving is his children, Bill (Joyce) Aldridge of Mitchell, Cheryl Flora of Louisville, Kentucky, Jim (Tracy) Flora of Mitchell, Jeff (Valerie) Flora of Seymour, Kathy (Mark) Shirley of Bandon, Oregon; sixteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
His wife; parents; infant son, Jeff Aldridge; siblings, Louise Yother Barrett, Vicki Hendrix, Shelby Jean Baker, and Ralph Aldridge; and his first wife, Marie Aldridge preceded him in death.
The funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 2nd in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother Jerry Allen officiating. Burial will be at Mitchell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
