James M. Watson 76 of Bedford passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at 2:10 p.m. at his residence.
He was born in Bedford on July 17, 1946, to James E. Watson and Edith R. (McKnight) Watson. James married Teresa Strader on March 4, 1987, and she survives. James retired from NWSC Crane, he was a veteran of the US Marine Corps
and was a member of the Medora Masonic Lodge, American Legion Post in French Lick, Shriners, and the White River Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Watson of Bedford, and one daughter, Joanna Watson of Bedford, four grandchildren, Amanda Mitchell, Jessica Watson, Carles J. Quarry, and Jarreth Watson, and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Jane K. Watson.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at White River Baptist Church with Jim Russell, officiating.
Cresthaven Funeral Home is entrusted with his care.
