PUTNAM CO. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces repairs continue on the State Road 42 bridge over Mill Creek. This is east of Cloverdale, near South County Road 750 East.
A vehicle struck the bridge a few months ago and caused damage. The bridge will remain closed until the necessary repairs are completed and the bridge is safe to reopen. That’s expected to be after the end of September or the beginning of October, weather permitting.
The official eastbound detour follows S.R. 42 to U.S. 231 to I-70 to Little Point and back to S.R. 42. The westbound detour follows S.R. 42 at Little Point to I-70 to U.S. 231 back to S.R. 42.
