Doris Ann Russell, 82, of Mitchell, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022, at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital.
Born April 15, 1940, she was the daughter of Cleo and Bernice (Montgomery) Survance.
Doris farmed most of her life and enjoyed fishing. She was a member of the Shoals Holiness Church. Doris was a homemaker and also worked for Dana Corporation.
Surviving are her children, Sandra (Jack) Leatherman of Mitchell and Alan (Julia) Russell of Mitchell; grandson, Luke Osborn; siblings, Roger Survance of Kentucky, Hazel Furman of Shoals, and Louise Hallaway of Pennsylvania.
Her parents and siblings, Howard Survance, Wanda Albright, Lois Brashear, and Wilma Pride preceded her in death.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 20th at Spring Hill Cemetery with Reverend Mark Hamaker officiating. On Tuesday, the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
