SALEM – Salem scored in the second half to conquer Bedford North Lawrence 1-0 during girls high school soccer action on Tuesday.
Lilly Campbell recorded the goal with 30 minutes left as the Lions (1-10-0) posted their first win of the season. The Stars fell to 0-10-0.
“We had several opportunities to score and several shots, we just couldn’t get one in,” BNL coach Bret Roberts said. “We had several nice crosses (from Sydney Hallatt). We played well and pretty much dominated the game, we just couldn’t finish anything.”
BNL will visit Trinity Lutheran on Thursday.
