Roberta Maxine Lewis, 94, of Springville, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022.
Born July 19, 1928, in Martin Co., she was the daughter of Frank and Marie (Bolton) Freeman. She married Merle Eugene Lewis on January 1, 1944, and he preceded her in death on November 19, 2015. She was a homemaker and had worked at Hale’s Carriage House Furniture for several years. She was a member of Owensburg church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, Leslie (Jim) Lewis, and wife, Darlene, of Springville; two daughters, Jeanette Parsley and husband, Clovis, of Bedford, and Karen DeFord and husband, Rex, of Vail, AZ; 13 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, John Freeman, and wife, Kathleen, of Shelbyville; two sisters, Geraldine Jackson and husband, Jerry, of Bedford and Ruth Wininger of Tampa, FL; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Gene.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 30th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day &
Carter Mortuary with Leslie Lewis, Clovis Parsley, and Rex DeFord officiating. Burial will follow in the Owensburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 29th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
