Dennis R. (Denny) Simmons, 76, of Bedford, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Bloomington Hospital.
Born November 27, 1945, he was the son of Forrest and Marjorie Simmons. He was a graduate of Shawswick High School with the class of 1964. He was employed by his father at Forty’s Lunch in Bedford. He made many friends while he entertained with his quick wit and smart remarks.
He tagged everyone he knew with a nickname and everyone he touched loved him. He had many talents including painting. He was a terrific artist. He enjoyed many hobbies including pool, fishing, and riding his motorcycle.
Survivors include two sisters, Sandra (Sonnie) Moody and Barbara Underwood (Jon Mark), and many nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and twins, who passed in infancy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 7th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter
Mortuary. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
