BEDFORD – North Lawrence Community Schools and their Playful Pathways program are set to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house event on Thursday, October 27th from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., located at the former Stalker Elementary building at 420 W Street. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will commence at 6:30 p.m.
Providing infant care, daycare, and preschool for children ages 12 weeks to five years old, Playful Pathways is dedicated to providing an environment rich with choices, opportunities, and experiences that inspire curiosity and a love of learning.
The center provides the opportunity to create caring and safe environments, embracing the joy of discovery, facilitating a love of learning, and taking time each day to create, move, sing, discuss, observe, read, and play.
Teachers will serve as facilitators for children learning by realizing the importance of controlling the environment, not the little children in it. They will give children the freedom to laugh and play while being engaged in child-centered activities, ensure uninterrupted free time for exploration with open-ended, child-selected materials, and provide outdoor playtime with both energetic activity and quiet contemplation.
