LOOGOOTEE – Loogootee capped the regular season with a three-set sweep of Bedford North Lawrence during high school volleyball action on Thursday night.
The Lions (21-10) clawed to a 25-8, 25-14, 25-17 victory.
“We played a great team and we got off the bus slow,” BNL coach Whitney Carroll said. “After a short Game One, we played hard.”
Camryn Anderson paced the Stars (2-21) with 6 kills, Sammie Gratzer totaled 5 kills, and Harley Tanksley had 12 digs.
“Camryn and Sammie continue to be tough hitters for us,” Carroll said. “Camryn had a lot of quality swings, Harley played well in the back row tonight.”
BNL will return to action in the Class 4A sectional at Jeffersonville, facing a rematch with Seymour in the first game, on Sept. 13. That winner will meet Jeffersonville in the first semifinal on Sept. 15.
