ORLEANS – The ever-popular Ladies for Liberty will be returning to historic downtown Orleans on Saturday, October 8th in conjunction with the 2022 Fall Fun Fest in the Park activities this weekend.
The group will be performing a special FREE lunchtime Concert at 11 a.m. on the Bicentennial Stage, located on the southwest corner of Congress Square.
The ladies have been known for their renditions of the 1940s, WWII, 1950s Korean War Era, and 1960s Vietnam War Era music.
The group still presents this program of the Andrew Sisters’ style of music through their own rendition of vocals, costumes, hairstyles, and the spirit of patriotism reminiscent of the 1940s and 1950s. The ladies have been honored to attend and perform four times in Normandy, France for the DDay Anniversaries.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and enjoy this outstanding musical treat.
The Fall Fun Fest event is sponsored by the Orleans Chamber of Commerce and Duke Energy.
