BLOOMINGTON – Kids in grades kindergarten through sixth grade will have a fun, active day at Kid City while school’s out for the holiday break.
Break Days are Nov. 8, and Dec. 19-23 for Monroe County Schools.
Campers engage in outdoor play and other camp activities on-site from 8 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. at the Allison-Jukebox Community Center, at 351 South Washington Street. in Bloomington (near the Bloomington Police Department and The Waldron, Hill, and Buskirk Park.)
Camp dates and costs
- Tuesday, Nov. 8 – $40, out of city registration is $45, the deadline to register is Monday, Oct. 31
- Monday, Nov. 19- $40, out of city registration $45, the deadline to register is Monday, Dec. 12
- Monday, Dec. 19 – $40, out of city registration $45, the deadline to register is Monday, Dec. 12
- Tuesday, Dec. 20 – $40, out of city registration $45, the deadline to register is Monday, Dec. 12
- Wednesday, Dec. 21 – $40, out of city registration $45, the deadline to register is Monday, Dec. 12
- Thursday, Dec. 22 – $40, out of city registration $45, the deadline to register is Monday, Dec. 12
- Friday, Dec. 22 – $40, out of city registration $45, the deadline to register is Monday, Dec. 12
Kid City is dedicated to serving youth and families in our community by offering opportunities for recreation and social engagement to youth.
Break Days are inclusive, serving camp-ready children with and without disabilities. Reasonable accommodation requests must be made at least two weeks prior to the registration deadline.

Lunches and snacks are NOT provided on Break Days.
The deadline to apply for Break Days scholarships is one week prior to the registration deadline. Proof of income and Monroe County residency are required.

A $5 late fee is applied to registrations received after the registration deadline as space allows. Cancellations incur a $5 administrative fee and must be requested prior to the registration deadline.
Scholarships are available for qualified individuals, courtesy of the Bloomington Parks Foundation.
