BEDFORD – The 17th Annual Super Treat Night, presented by WTIU, and hosted by Southern Indiana’s Classic Hits 105.5 WQRK, 1340 AM WBIW, and 102.5 LiteFM brought in thousands of monsters and goblins to celebrate the Halloween holiday inside the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County Monday night.
The free event started at 6 p.m., but families were excited to start the night off and began lining up at 5:00 p.m. The line was wrapped around the building and into the main foyer before entering the gymnasium, where vendor booths and spaces were awaiting the trick-or-treaters.
Costumes ranged from ninjas to Pennywise the Dancing clown, and from princesses to transformers, and so much more to have a fun and safe night inside from the misty rain.
Families made their way into the gym where they were able to take pictures with the WTIU picture booth, and make their way to hotdog island, before visiting with the many vendors to receive their candy. Popcorn and apple cider were awaiting families as they were prepared to finish their evening, as well as cookies from Magic Morning Bakery.
This was the first time the event was held indoors since 2019 due to COVID-19, and when asked about moving the event back into the building, WBIW, WQRK, and LiteFM President Holly Davis said moving the event back indoors was long overdue for the community.

“I felt our community families were ready to get this event back inside, and our staff was too,” Davis said. “Even though it’s a lot more work setting it up inside, we like for the community families to be able to have an inside option away from the weather elements. In addition, we are able to provide our families with a Halloween party type of environment with all the fun elements of a movie, hotdogs, interactive games, popcorn, cookies, apple cider, and of course we can’t forget about the candy! I can’t express our appreciation enough to our Title Sponsor WTIU, our vendors, and our special sponsors to help us create a memorable night for so many families.”
