BLOOMINGTON – Susan Sandberg, 16-year Bloomington City Council veteran, and current Council President will officially launch her 2023 Democratic Primary campaign for Mayor of Bloomington on November 13, 2022, with a rally at Karst Farm Park, from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 pm.
The event will be held at the park’s Shelter #6 (Commons Building). Chili and hot cider will be served, and entertainment will be provided by Bloomington’s own ukulele band, The UkeTones. Karst Farm Park is located at 2450 South Endwright Road, Bloomington.
“I’m looking forward to this opportunity to thank my very energetic supporters,” Sandberg said. “I love the City of Bloomington, but it has fallen short on some of its most urgent priorities over the last seven years and needs a course correction. Having served four Council terms, through 17 budget cycles, I’m eager to apply my practical experience to the complicated business of city government, as a Mayor who will prioritize public safety, living-wage employment, affordability, essential services, and infrastructure integrity – basic needs actually expressed by Bloomington constituents when I meet with them.”
