BEDFORD – Veterans Day is a federal holiday in the United States observed annually on Friday, November 11, for honoring military veterans of the United States Armed Forces.
Lawrence County Veterans Affairs officer Brad Bough addressed the commissioners Tuesday morning with a few upcoming events.
On Friday Bough will attend:
- The Bedford Middle School Veteran’s Day event at 9 a.m.
- The American Legion event at 11 a.m. The event is open to all veterans and their families
- The Lincoln Elementary Veteran’s Day Event at 1 p.m.
On November 14th Golden Corral will offer veterans a free dinner from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Bough thanks the commissioners for all their support of local veterans.
