BEDFORD – A Bedford woman was arrested Sunday when Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a home in the 8000 block of US 50 West after a report of a physical domestic fight.
When police arrived they spoke to the victim who told police she and 23-year-old Abby Fish had begun arguing over Fish not helping around the house and her being unemployed.
The argument escalated to the point that Fish struck the caller with a closed fist in the left eye.
The woman suffered a swollen contusion with a laceration, presenting dried blood on her face and her left ear.
Police say a 2-year-old child was present in the home during the incident.
The caller signed a battery affidavit.
Fish was later detained on charges of domestic battery and domestic battery in the presence of a minor at a home in the 900 block of Church Camp Road, where she retreated to after the fight.
