MITCHELL – The Mitchell Community School board approved the creation of a Special Track & Field ECA Account for Special Olympics opportunities at the school.
The account will be used specifically for donations made to the group that will go towards team t-shirts, meals, and water for the schools involved with the COSMOS program.
The next event will be at Mitchell High School, with hopes of becoming the host location after the Hive Building is completed. This way the event will be able to go on schedule as planned, regardless of weather, as the building will have an indoor track area.
Expansion to include other schools may also be possible in the future, but the goal is to get things started properly first.
