INDIANA – The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program is the federal government’s major program for assisting low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled, to afford quality, safe, and sanitary housing in the private market.
The HCV program is available to income-eligible individuals and families and exists to assist with rent payments to provide decent, affordable, sanitary, and safe housing for persons with low incomes.
Brightpoint has opened the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP) Waiting List for the following counties: Allen (excluding the city limits of Fort Wayne), DeKalb, Elkhart (excluding the city limits of Goshen and Elkhart), Fulton, Kosciusko (excluding the city limits of Warsaw), LaGrange, Marshall, Noble, Steuben, and Whitley Counties.
The HCVP (Section 8 Program) is not emergency housing assistance and your waiting time for assistance may exceed 24 months.
