JOHNSON CO. – UpLift Johnson County is working to bring a Merry Christmas to the underserved in Johnson County this holiday season with three initiatives, and they are calling on the community to lend a hand.
The three initiatives are:
UpLift A Child – Virtual Giving Tree: UpLift has partnered with local Johnson County schools to receive wish lists from families that are seeking assistance with gifts. They are seeking people who want to uplift a child by providing gifts for Christmas morning. Please contact info@upliftjoco.org to receive the wish list of a local child. All gift donations are due by December 7.
UpLift A Family – Christmas Food Drive: In partnership with Firefly, UpLift is collecting food donations to provide 100 families with meals over the winter break from school. Each family will receive enough food to feed their family for the two-week break. If you wish to donate food to this cause, please visit UpLiftJoCo.org to download the shopping list, go shopping for food, and drop off donations at the Builder Resource Group office at 3209 W Smith Valley Road, Suite 146, Greenwood, IN 46142, or contact UpLift at info@upliftjoco.org or call 317-300-8855 to schedule a pickup. All food donations are due by December 9.
UpLift A Senior – Christmas Donation Drive: UpLift Johnson County is working to provide much-needed holiday blessings for 90 seniors in need, who are served by Johnson County Senior Services. UpLift is seeking 100 generous people who can spare $20 to bless these folks who are often burdened financially, along with feeling lonely or forgotten. With your donation, gift bags will be prepared with much-needed items such as socks, gloves, personal care items (shampoo, body wash), and snacks, along with gift cards to help ease the financial burden of much-needed prescriptions. Please donate online at UpLiftJoCo.org by clicking on the “Donate Online Now” button in the top right. UpLift will match donations up to $2000. All donations for the seniors are due by December 20.
UpLift supports our neighbors and friends in Johnson County. Our community is one who loves and supports one another in good times and in bad, and now is your chance to make a difference in the lives of people this Christmas.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact UpLift at info@upliftjoco.org.
